Amber Riley has won ‘The Masked Singer US’.

The former ‘Glee’ star took home victory in the eighth season of the star-studded secret singing competition, which sees celebrities dress up and the judging panel of Ken Jeong, Nicole Scherzinger, Robin Thicke and Jenny McCarthy tries to guess his identity under his costumes, after the “incredible experience” of acting as fan favorite Karp, along with fellow comedians Nikki Glaser and country group Wilson Phillips on the Fox show.

After her true self was revealed and she was awarded the Golden Mask Trophy, the 36-year-old actress told the crowd on the show on Wednesday (11.30.22), “It’s been an amazing experience to be able to come here. and be fully covered and let my talents speak for themselves.

“The love I have for people and wanting people to heal and feel what I’m singing about. So I hope you all felt my soul because I discovered it right here on this stage.”

Amber kicked off the finale with her crowd-pleasing rendition of Lady Gaga’s hit ‘The Edge of Glory’.

The show’s host, Nick Cannon, later told him: “We’re on the edge of our seats. What a way to start the show.”

Later, the ‘A Moment’ hitmaker treated the audience to John Mayer’s ‘Gravity’, a moment Robin called “one of the best things we’ve ever heard on this stage”.

Amber said the comments allowed her to feel “validated” in her chosen career.

She told the judges: “It just means too much to be validated. I’ve been through a lot in this industry and sometimes you forget who you are and sometimes you need people to remind you.”

Amber also urged people back home to “chase” their dreams.

She said: “I just want to say that whatever you want in this life, go for it. It may be difficult, it may be a rocky journey, but at the end of that journey it will be totally and completely worth it. So carry on.”

Nicole was the only judge to correctly assess that it was Amber with Robin thinking it was actress Yvette Nicole Brown, Jenny believing it was Jordin Sparks, and Ken believing it was Jennifer Hudson.

The ‘BGE’ hitmaker called the challenge of relying on her voice alone while on stage a “pretty cool thing.”

Amber told Entertainment Weekly: “Because I am an artist, I use my entire body to perform. I dance, I use facial expressions, you know, and not being able to fully connect with people and just being able to connect with them through movement and my voice, it was actually a big challenge for me. But I was encouraged to know that my voice speaks for itself. And that’s not something I would have been able to find out if I hadn’t done the show. So that was kind of cool for me.”
